I would have gotten closer, but I didn't want the kids or parents to know that I was taking pictures. I like to get people in their natural way of life - since once people know there's a camera, and you tell them to act natural...they still have a hard time doing it.
Plus...I didn't want to be some "creepy person" that was taking pictures of their kids. I'm not sure how well that would have gone over.
